Like most Australian betting sites, Bet365 is licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory government. Bet365 is legally able to offer online betting services to residents of Australia and is bound by the Interactive Gambling Act (2001).
Bet365 was founded in the United Kingdom by Denise Coates back in 2000. Denise is the daughter of long time UK bookmaking identity Peter Coates; she ran the family bookmaking shop before founding Bet365. Since opening for business in 2001, bet365 has grown to become the world’s largest betting company with a reported wagering turnover of 52.56 billion in 2018.
Bet365 has won many awards including the 2010 eGaming “Operator of the year”. Their time in Australia has not been without controversy, in 2016, Bet365 Australia was fined $2.75 million by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for misleading advertising relating to free bets.
Bet365 Australia provides an online corporate betting service featuring fixed odds markets. They run a very similar service to most other Australian betting sites.
Like BetEasy, Bet365 is a founding member of Responsible Wagering Australia (RWA). RWA is made up of betting companies that are licensed and regulated in Australia; members agree to abide by a code of conduct in relation to responsible gambling. There is a plethora of deposit methods available with Bet365 including: Credit card, Debit card, Paypal, ApplePay, Poli, Skrill, Neteller, Bank transfer and even by cheque.

The Bet365 Mastercard allows you to withdraw your winnings instantly and use them to pay for products and services just as you would with a typical debit or credit card. Bet365’s Match Live service allows you to follow live sport events. The live action is displayed using computer graphics with a text commentary describing the play. Match Live is not live streaming, but additional sports are available including AFL, NRL, cricket, soccer and basketball.
